Innovation Forum – DestiNA Genomics

Direct, PCR free detection of microRNAs – A transformation for biomarker detection and diagnosis 57,000 publications on microRNAs since 2010, covering every cancer. But no diagnostic assays have appeared yet. Significant issues remain of cost and reproducibility that limit application of microRNAs as valuable clinical biomarkers. If one asks researchers and clinicians what they would like in order to have confidence in the application of microRNAs as clinically valuable biomarkers, by way of better tools and protocols, the ‘wish list’ is: Removal of front-end isolation and purification steps; No more PCR for short RNAs; Handling of liquid biological samples through to analysis without any refrigeration, including any transport and storage; Reproducible, quantitative, high specificity and sensitivity results in less than two hours. And multiplex capability too. DestiNA Genomics through its unique chemistry is now capable of delivering this transformation in the analysis and quantification of microRNAs.

The Top 500 Innovators Affiliate Brokerage Event – Information Technology

FOR WHOM?
The meeting is open for:

  • IT companies seeking new technologies to get new market advantage
  • Venture Capital funds that invest in IT technologies
  • Developers of new technologies in the IT sector
  • Researchers in the field of IT

Top 500 Innovators Affiliate Program is the first affiliate program in Poland. It is a comprehensive response to high-tech business needs in establishing long term relationships and close cooperation with inventors of new technologies. The high quality of this co-operation results in perfect adjustment of new solutions to the needs of the company. This is the key to maintaining a sustainable competitive advantage in the market of high technologies. Inventors associated in our program express a strong commitment in cooperation with companies.

All conference participants are welcome to attend the event. If you wish to attend to the Affiliates program only, please use this linklink.

WHY ATTEND?

All this in just one place, which is time-efficient, as the Top 500 Innovators brings together 500 employees from 55 universities in Poland, 50 research institutes and 14 transfer centers.

Previous Brokerage Events gathered many participating companies and their interest has been translated into cooperation in Defence&Security and Energy sectors, with key companies in Poland.

The program is inspired by affiliate programs successfully operating on world leading universities like the University of California Berkeley and Stanford University. Affiliate programs encourage an environment of cooperation between academia and business. Each program is dedicated to a specific technical field. Cooperation within an affiliate program is based on regular networking events that give the opportunity to exchange knowledge about new technologies and discuss new trends. Thanks to periodic meetings, participants build a relationship fruitful for both sides. Companies obtain access to highly qualified experts which generates an impact on future research activities. On the other hand, inventors can learn about company needs, verify developed ideas and gain partners for testing and market introduction of provided solutions. In the USA, affiliate programs are paid for by business participants.

EVENT PLAN
During the meeting, Top 500 Innovators alumni as well as invited guests will present technologies that rely on groundbreaking scientific research. Many of them reached a prototype stage or even were tested in real operation environment and are ready to be implemented. Top 500 Innovators Affiliate Brokerage Event gives a chance to build relations with outstanding scientists and technological companies. During the event we have prepared:

  • TECH PITCH - presentation of latest technologies developed by scientists from Top500 Innovators network
  • TECH TALKS - brokerage meeting with scientists, that will take place after the presentations
  • TECH WORKSHOPS - interactive workshop in interdisciplinary teams that aims in finding a solution for real challenge given by a company
  • Networking

Workshop – The Modern Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ)

FOR WHOM?
The workshop is dedicated to everyone interested in the contemporary Pragmatic innovation based on Modern Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). This tool allows to build entrepreneurship’s innovation strategy and combine it with the company’s business model. Applying TRIZ leads to innovation paradigm shift: instead of coincidence or inventor’s brilliance, effective innovations are created through systematic and algorithmic approach. TRIZ provides set of analytical and strategic tools that transfer inventiveness to business planning area – similar to cost and quality control processes. The TRIZ methodology is applied with a growing success rate by 50% of the most valuable brands in the world.

WHY ATTEND?
Modern TRIZ helps with building effective innovation strategy through selection of the best development paths and exclusion of inadequate or unpromising ideas.
Modern TRIZ not only allows developing products and technologies but also indicates which concepts should be used as short and long-term strategies to increase probability of market success. Modern TRIZ combines technology development and business strategies: indicates innovation possibilities that are worth to focus on and suggest what steps should be taken to achieve success on the market. Implementation of one project that used Modern TRIZ methodology allowed Samsung to achieve $100 million return of investment. After TRIZ implementation into their corporate culture Samsung’s number of patents and brand value increased tenfold. After eight-month TRIZ implementation program at Hyundai, the company achieved the return of investment of $100 million. The next implementation program led to $245 million return of investment.

WORKSHOP PLAN
During the workshop it will be shown that the TRIZ method allows to:

  1. Improve existing products or processes and develop new ones.
  2. Forecast product or technology development.
  3. Develop intellectual property strategies including circumventing competitors’ patents.
  4. Implement design for effective recycling and re-use of materials.
  5. Evaluate company’s innovation possibilities by technology verification.
  6. Search the most suitable technology.
  7. Discover causes of failures and to eliminate them.
  8. Rise abilities of company’s key technologies.
  9. Analyze company’s innovation portfolio.
  10. Develop innovation strategies for products.
