Co-founder @ Contilo
Joanna is a design thinker and service designer with more than 1500 hours of experience. She is a co-owner of Contilo where she solves wicked problems in multilaterally beneficial way. Joanna is an active Board Member of Top 500 Innovators Association, the biggest Polish NGO working in between science, business and government to boost innovation ecosystem in Poland. She has created and develops Design Thinking Week, a nationwide festival reaching 2 million citizens each year in 13 Polish cities.
Joanna took her first steps in design thinking at Stanford University, California. As a laureate of Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education program Top 500 Innovators, she participated in DT course at University of California, Berkeley. She has also cooperated with Saga University, Japan and held workshops at Toyota Technological Institute in Nagoya, Japan.
Earlier in her carrier for almost 5 years she dealt with technology transfer from science to business working at Knowledge and Entrepreneurship Centre at Gdansk University of Technology. She has graduated from PhD studies at Faculty of Economics and Management (topic: measuring the effects of Service Design Thinking). As certified project manager (PRINCE2) Joanna successfully managed project Innovation, Creativity and Talent e-training program for ICT SMEs cooperating with 6 partners in 4 European countries.
Creativity as freedom, innovation as change for better, doing the right things and self-development are the values guiding her through the years.
